David L. Walden,
M.D.,
graduated from the Honors Program in Medical Education at
Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. He completed
his internship and residency in orthopedics at the University
of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. He then went
on to receive fellowship training in sports medicine at the
American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama.
Dr. Walden has
been a member of the medical team for the Olympics, the Pam
Am Games, four World Championships and numerous international sports events. He is currently
a member of the Olympic Training Center staff, the head team
physician for USA Basketball, and a team physician for the AAA
Colorado Springs Sky Sox. Dr. Walden specializes in sports
medicine, arthroscopy and knee and shoulder problems.

Timothy S. O’Brien, M.D.,
received his degree from Harvard Medical School and completed
his internship and residency at the University of Colorado
Health Sciences Center in Denver. Dr. O'Brien received his
fellowship training in Foot and Ankle Surgery at the Medical
College of Wisconsin. He has also completed a fellowship in
Joint Replacement and Adult Reconstruction. He is a member
of the Olympic Training Center medical staff.
Dr. O'Brien is
the president of Medical Education and Research Instituted
of Colorado (MERIC) and is currently involved in both clinical and
biochemical research.

Timothy
S. Hart,
M.D., graduated from the Georgetown University
School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency
at Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Hart completed his fellowship training in Hand and Upper
Extremity Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is
a member of the Olympic Training Center medical staff.

Michael B. Simpson, M.D., graduated from the Honors Program in Medical Education at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. He completed his internship and residency at Brooke Army Medical Center. Dr. Simpson received fellowship training in Foot and Ankle Surgery at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee. He has been published in multiple orthopaedic journals including The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and Operative Techniques in Sports Medicine. He has also co-authored textbook chapters in Campbell’s Operative Orthopaedics.
Dr. Simpson brings with him over fifteen years of orthopaedic surgery experience. With his fellowship training, he is accustomed to treating the full spectrum of foot and ankle disorders from bunions to the most complex foot and ankle deformities. He also has a special interest in sports medicine and advanced arthroscopic techniques for injuries of the ankle, knee and shoulder. |
